1. I thank you Jesus, for the great mercy shown to St Paul in changing him from a fierce persecutor into a zealous apostle of the Church. And you, O great saint, obtain for me a heart docile to grace and conversion from my predominant fault, that I may more and more resemble Jesus Christ.

2. I thank you Jesus, for having chosen St Paul as a model and preacher of virginity. And you, O Saint Paul, my dear father, guard my mind, my heart and my senses, that t may know, love and serve only Jesus, and employ all my ener gies for his glory.

3. I thank you Jesus, for having given through St Paul examples and teachings of perfect obedi ence. And you, O great saint, obtain for me a humble docility towards all my superiors, being convinced that in obedience t shall find victory over my spiritual enemies.

4. I thank you Jesus, for having taught me by the examples and words of St Paul, the true spirit of poverty. And you, O great saint, obtain for me the evangelical spirit of poverty, so that imitating you in life I may be your companion in heavenly glory.

5. I thank you Jesus, for having given to St Paul a heart so full of love for God and for the Church and for having made his zeal your instru ment to save souls. And you my friend, obtain for me a lively desire to labour for the apostolate of social communications, of prayer and of example, of word and of deed, so that t may merit the reward promised to good apostles.
