“I have faith in God. He’ll save me.”

There was a man who was sitting in a lounger on the first floor of his house. It started to rain and soon it began to flood. One hour later, a rescue boat came over and told him, “Come on, get in.” “No,” the man said. “I have faith in God. He’ll save me.” So the boat left.

Two hours later, he was forced to move to the second floor. Another rescue boat came over to him and said, “Come on, get in.” The man once again replied in the negative and said, “I have faith in God. He’ll save me.” So the boat left too.

Three hours later, he was forced to move onto the roof. A helicopter seeing him stranded, came lower and said, “Come on, get in.” Again the man replied in the negative. “I have faith in God,” he said. “He’ll save me.”

Four hours later, he died and went up to heaven. There he confronted God, asking why He didn’t come to save him.

“Fool!” replied God.

“Who do you think sent you two rescue boats and a helicopter?”
