Where Is the Sea?

The Sufi mystics have a story that could provide a guiding image for the holistic guide. Some fish were busy swimming around in search of the sea. They were anxious and confused. One day they met a wise fish and asked, “Where is the sea?” The wise fish answered, “If you would stop swimming so anxiously, you would discover that you are already in the sea. You need to look no further than where you already are.”
