PSALM 3

Trust in God under Adversity

Psalm 3:1 O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me;

Psalm 3:2 many are saying of me, there is no help for him in God.

Psalm 3:3 But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

Psalm 3:4 I cry aloud to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain.

Psalm 3:5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the LORD sustains me.

Psalm 3:6 I am not afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about.

Psalm 3:7 Arise, O LORD! Deliver me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek, you break the teeth of the wicked.

Psalm 3:8 Deliverance belongs to the LORD; your blessing be upon your people!
