Jesus Calls the First Disciples

Matthew 4

Matthew4:18 And Jesus, walking near the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishermen).

Matthew4:19 And he said to them: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Matthew4:20 And at once, leaving behind their nets, they followed him.

Matthew4:21 And continuing on from there, he saw another two brothers, James of Zebedee, and his brother John, in a ship with their father Zebedee, repairing their nets. And he called them.

Matthew4:22 And immediately, leaving their nets and their father behind, they followed him.
