Spouse of the Holy Virgin Mary and Patron of the Church has a sanctity that excels that of most other saints.

 

As head of the Holy Family of Nazareth he exerts a special influence on the Hearts of Jesus and Mary: “I don’t remember ever to have asked him for a favour without receiving it... for that reason I would like to convince everyone to honour him with special veneration” (Saint Theresa of Avila).

 

“Go to Joseph!” (in all your needs, he will provide!) (Gen. 4 1,55: the Holy Liturgy applies this to St. Joseph). He is for everyone the perfect example of all Christian virtues!

Remember, O most pure spouse of the Virgin Mary, my beloved Patron, that never it has been heard that anyone invoked your patronage and sought your aid without being comforted. Inspired by this confidence I come to you and fervently commend myself to you. Despise not my petition, O dearest foster father of our Redeemer, but accept it graciously.
