How Mobile Phones Kill?

A newspaper reported that a 20-year-old college girl in a certain town was run over and killed by a running train. A precious life is cut short in such a tragic manner. However, it is more shocking to know that the girl was talking to somebody on her mobile phone and did not notice that a train was speeding in her direction from behind her. A careless behaviour took away a precious life! Such tragedies, caused by the use of mobile phones, especially while driving or walking, are repeated daily in every part of the world. lt is said that the navigational system of an airplane can malfunction or interfere with the landing system and thus cause terrible tragedies, if a mobile phone is kept switched on while flying.

None can deny the manifold functions and advantages of mobile phones. lt has become impossible to ignore it or do away with it. lt helps us connect to our relatives and friends, even across the continents. But it has become so much a part of our daily life that it takes precedence even over the safety of human lives and our own safety! How badly we misuse this wonderful invention which, if put to right use, is a great blessing! The mobile phone has made many its slaves that it controls the way they spend their waking hours. Improper and overindulgent use of mobile phones can cause serious repercussions on our health as well as destroy precious human lives. Uncontrolled use of mobile phones can also cause us to miss out on precious time with God, with family, with good friends, with good books, with nature and even with ourselves.
